Label printer has thermal label printer and thermal transfer label machine. Thermal label paper is a special printing paper for thermal label printers. The quality of label paper directly affects the label printing quality and storage time and even affects the service life of the printer header.

The main factor affecting the quality of thermal printing paper is coating. Thermal printing paper is generally divided into three layers, the bottom layer is paper base, the second layer is a thermal coating, and the third layer is a protective layer.

If the coating of thermal paper is not uniform, the printing quality will be significantly reduced due to dark color in some places and light color in some places; if the chemical formula of thermal coating is unreasonable, the storage time of thermal printing paper will be very short.

The storage time of thermal label paper is limited. If the storage time is too long, the adhesive will be invalid, dry and hard, and lose its stickiness. Unreasonable storage methods will accelerate this process. How to store thermal label paper? In general, we need to pay attention to the following points:

First of all, to prevent direct sunlight on the label paper;

Secondly, the printed label should be stacked layer by layer after packaging, and must not be stacked too much to prevent glue penetration and adhesion.

In addition, we also pay attention to the thermal label paper storage, which should be moisture-proof paper or film packaging sealed. The package should be stacked vertically, not flat, and should be stored flat, and the height of each plate should not exceed 1m, and the goods should be more than 10cm above the ground.

Generally, the label paper can be stored for a long time. At present, the best thermal label paper is said to be able to guarantee more than 30 years of validity, while the poor one has only 1-3 months of validity. The relatively good thermal label paper can be kept for at least 2-5 years.
